Artstübli has been organizing and leading authentic urban art and graffiti tours for a proud 10 years, accompanied by artists and connoisseurs of the scene, thus conveying this art movement from the city centre to the railroad line.
Understanding the city as an open-air gallery, fitting into an existing context and using artistic means to claim a territory has been one of the most important characteristics of urban art since its beginnings. Seven guides lead visitors through the urban public museum in German, French and English, using a variety of techniques and styles created by various national and international artists.
In addition to the popular “Urban Art City Tour”, a new Urban Art Tour has been launched for the Dreispitz area in Basel/Münchenstein, which also conveys the historical context and the transformation of the area, including the interim use of the "Gleisbogen". Through artists such as Bitnik, Hannah Weinberger, Maja Hürst, Hendrik Beikirch, Jeroen Erosie, SpY and several others, the use of the industrial bodies as a canvas brought high-class works to the area.
